Uniquely, the G1, or more formally the Graduation One, pre-amplifier uses deceptively simple single ended technology converting voltage into irresistible amplifier driving current. For the technically minded, the G1 is the only known dedicated, single ended transistor, transconductance pre-amplifier available today. All achieved with zero overall feedback for a completely natural sound.
Individually crafted from components of the highest quality, many of which are military grade designed to provide consistent performance over many years service, the G1 uses a low inductance Litz PCB track layout for signal paths, unique to Avondale. The tracks carrying signal are split into three parallel thinner tracks thereby lowering the undesirable inductance found in thick PCB track.

Why zero feedback topology? You get none of the forward, grainy sound normally associated with transistor pre-amps - the sound is allowed to soar without constraint. Bass becomes detailed without bloom and the treble performance is energetic yet exquisitely natural.
