For customers outside the UK

COMPLETING CUSTOMS DECLARATION FORM FOR EQUIPMENT DUE FOR SERVICE / MODIFICATION

Avondale Audio is based in Chesterfield, United Kingdom and we have a large number of customers who live outside the UK. This page is designed to help with the logistics of sending customer owned equipment to us in the United Kingdom along with guidance on completing Customs forms.

Please read carefully:

Customers sending equipment for service

1. In a prominent place on the package, write the words:

'TEMPORARY IMPORT - RETURNED TO COUNTRY OF ORIGIN FOR SERVICE'

The customs form (usually a small green label) will not provide guidance on this, but just write it on anyway in a conspicuous manner.

2. Also for 'VALUE of GOODS' write a value less than £99 (second hand Arcams are usually around £99 in value).

By adopting the above procedure, re-entry to your own country will be made easier for you when your equipment is returned.

Customers sending equipment for credit from outside the UK

FOR GOODS BEING RETURNED FOR CREDIT - Write these words, again in a conspicuous manner:

'UNWANTED GOODS RETURNED TO COUNTRY OF ORIGIN FOR CREDIT'

The above procedures will avoid our having to pay unwarranted import duties on your behalf and for which we may make a charge.
