The Grad 1 preamp by Avondale Audio was at first called the 'Graduation 1' by its designer, Les Wolstenholme.

This was quickly shortened the 'Grad 1', and still remains, affectionately, known by its owners as 'the Grad 1 preamp'.

It was also called the 'G1 preamp', which is more in line with Avondale's naming its power amps and power supplies with such terms as T65, M130 (power amps), TPX, TPX1, TPX2 (power supplies).

The Grad 1 preamp (G1 preamp) sonically still remains at the front of audiophile preamp technology.

The TPX1 and TPX2 power supplies are the power house supplies, with the TPX2 currently being 'simply the best' available, at any price.

The Genesis turntable was powered by the legendary Avondale turntable power supplies.

Designed and produced by RMS in the early 1990s, this remarkable audio isolator produced outstanding results. Generally misunderstood as to how it REALLY functions, the actual physics behind its isolation properties, the original, sweet little wonder widget was only part of the high end energy management techniques.
